Concrete
Mixed at a local batch plant and delivered by truck. We choose the strength for the job.
-
4,000 PSI ready-mix
The strong mix. Stands up to cars, trucks and our freeze-thaw nights without scaling.
Used for: Driveways, RV pads, garage floors, steps
-
3,000 PSI ready-mix
The standard mix for surfaces people walk on.
Used for: Sidewalks, patios, mow strips
-
Fiber-reinforced mix
Tiny fibers mixed through the concrete to hold surface cracks tight. Added on request.
Used for: Patios and slabs where a hairline crack would bother you
Base and reinforcement
What's under the concrete matters as much as the concrete. Caliche soil moves, so nothing is poured straight on dirt.
-
Base course gravel
Crushed gravel, spread and compacted under every slab.
Used for: Under every driveway, walk and pad
$55 per cubic yard, delivered, for your own projects, before tax
-
#4 rebar grid
Half-inch steel bars tied in a grid and set on chairs so they end up in the middle of the slab, not the bottom.
Used for: Driveways, pads, steps
Part of the job, not sold on its own
-
10-mil vapor barrier
Heavy plastic under indoor slabs to keep ground moisture out of your floor.
Used for: Garage floors, sheds, room additions
Finishes
How the top of the concrete looks and feels. Each one is priced in the calculator.
-
Broom finish
A fine brushed texture for grip. The standard for driveways and walks.
Used for: Driveways, walks, steps
Part of the job, not sold on its own
-
Exposed aggregate
The top layer is washed off to show the rounded river rock in the mix. Tough, grippy and hides dirt.
Used for: Driveways, pool decks, patios
-
Stamped patterns
Slate, flagstone and brick patterns pressed into the concrete, with color mixed in and a release color on top.
Used for: Patios, walkways, front entries
-
Decorative river rock, 3/4 inch
The same rounded rock we use in exposed aggregate, for landscaping around your new concrete.
Used for: Borders, beds, drainage
$95 per cubic yard, delivered, before tax
Sealers and joints
What keeps new concrete looking new.
-
Acrylic cure and seal
Rolled on the day of the pour. Slows drying so the surface cures hard, and adds a light sheen.
Used for: Stamped and colored concrete, repairs
-
Penetrating sealer
Soaks in rather than sitting on top, so it doesn't change the look. Keeps out oil and water.
Used for: Driveways and garage floors
-
Flexible crack sealant
Stays flexible as the slab moves with the seasons, so a repaired crack stays sealed.
Used for: Crack repairs, joints next to the house
Framing, decking and roofing
What additions, decks and patio covers are built from. Each one is named in your written quote.
-
Pressure-treated lumber
Rated for ground contact where it touches the footings, and for the sun everywhere else. Framing and wood deck boards.
Used for: Deck frames, wood decks, wood patio covers
Part of the job, not sold on its own
-
Composite deck boards
Wood fibers and plastic, capped against fading. No sanding or sealing, and no splinters.
Used for: Decks, stairs
Part of the job, not sold on its own
-
Metal roof panels, 26 gauge
Ribbed steel panels with a baked-on finish that reflects the sun. Quiet, light and good for forty years.
Used for: Patio covers, carports, additions
Part of the job, not sold on its own
-
Sheathing, 7/16 inch
Structural panels over the framing of additions and garages, under the stucco or siding.
Used for: Additions, garages
Part of the job, not sold on its own
